Biography

Curtis CowgillCurtis Cowgill is an award winning amateur photographer specializing in nature and wildlife photography.

He has donated images which  have been published in several places including newspapers, church directories, educational pamphlets, billboards at the Philadelphia Zoo and book covers. He was profiled in a local newspaper in March 2004. Also, several of his images were selected by Konica-Minolta for use in national trade shows. He has photographed extensively in national parks and wild life refuges, on the northeastern and western coasts as well as in Canada, England, Wales, France, Tuscany, Austria and Costa Rica.

Curtis Cowgill's signature works seem to be his reflections-coral mountains mirrored in clear lakes and long- legged stilts bathed in golden light and reflected in still pools.

He resides in Doylestown, Pennsylvania where he is a community volunteer with the Doylestown Hospital, the Mercer Historical Society, the County Theater, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the YMCA, and the Bucks County Symphony, of which he was president for 3 years. After graduating from the United States Naval Academy, he served in the Navy Nuclear Submarine Force, and subsequently, worked as a nuclear engineer in the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
